Is it the beginning?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحي

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radhi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"The best alms is that which you give when you are rich, and you should start first to support your dependants."

[Sahih Bukhari - Book 64, Number 269]

One touching, great event that Alhamdulillah went well except the time managing problems. Thank you for those who joined this event, may Allah bless you for your genuine efforts and your family for letting you to be involved in this charity work.

So, here's the chronology...

Thursday, 24th March 2011
Tesco Shah Alam
With Syarifah a.k.a
Iffah a.k.a eafa and Ruby a.k.a Uya

Met up with Iffah after 2 hours going around Shah Alam just to find her lovely family crib. Thanks to Iffah for being such a "good co-pilot", hahahaha. Then, we both went to Seksyen 2 to bring Ruby along. Drove all the way to Tesco to shop for cake-making ingredients and also stuffs to be given out to those cute little kids in Teratak Nur Barakah. "First time going shopping for groceries without parents ^_^ " said the-never-realise-she-is-already-20 Miss Syarifah...lol.

Friday, 25th March 2011
Seksyen 13, Shah Alam
Iffah's family lovely crib

Went to pick up other girls at the ktm first before heading to Iffah's house. Around 12, we all started to do our parts ; making bookmarks for the kids, baking chocolate cakes and cooking some sardine roll. Such a memorable experiences ^_^ I've learned a lot, especially baking techniques, hahaha, thanks to the experts, Bie and Iffah, our chocolate cakes were marvelous.

Friday, 25th March 2011
Seksyen 24, Shah Alam
Teratak Nur Barakah
With Syarifah, Ruby, Fadhilah, Farihin, Bie and Yasmin

Well, we arrived at the Teratak a bit later than the time we had planned. Nevertheless, the bright smiles of those little kids welcomed us, making us felt at ease, like a home. We played games and treated them with some food that we made, Alhamdulillah, they liked it. They surprised us with a moving performances. Seeing them smiling, playing and teasing around were just enough to kill all the tiredness during the preparations. The chances to hug them, salam them and motivate them, felt like a dream come true.

Such a small effort brings a great smile in each one of their faces, Alhamdulillah. They don't have anyone, except those who are willing to share their loves. This memorable trip, hopefully it's the beginning for us to get attach with those who are in need. We have gained so much; scholarships, health, protections from tsunamis that was happened recently and many uncounted rewards, so why don't we , give back what we have gained?
